Adam Scott is happy, and shocked, at his victory at the Barclays on Sunday. After his 5-under 66 that gave him a one-shot win at the Liberty National, Scott said that he was surprised that he had triumphed what with the many golf greats he was up against.
Scott Moves to No.2
Scott was quite humble about his win when he said that it is very difficult to play under pressure. He added that the win had come to him like a ‘bit of a gift’ which he said he ‘would take anyway’. With this win, the Masters champion moves to a career-best ranking of no. 2 in the world.
While, Scott was up in the air thanks to his victory, Tiger Woods was on all fours owing to a back spasm on the par-5 13th hole. However, the ace golfer still continued his game, dropping a shot on the 15th, but then fighting back with birdies on the 16th and the 17th holes.
